The device, which was worn by a scrub nurse and utilized VR goggles to view virtual screens during the surgeries, has been hailed as a “game-changing” tool for medical procedures. Developed by eXeX, a company specializing in AI-driven apps for surgeons, the software used during the surgeries impressed doctors at Cromwell Hospital, including surgeon Syed Aftab, who praised the device for its contribution to improving patient care.
Apple’s partnership with medical technology company Stryker has also led to the development of a surgical planning app called “myMako” for hip and knee replacements using the Vision Pro. Additionally, various other companies and developers are harnessing the power of the Vision Pro for medical training and education purposes.
