Apple has recently unveiled its new 13-inch iPad Air, boasting a maximum display brightness of 600 nits. This marks a 20% increase from the brightness of the 11-inch iPad Air. The peak brightness level of the new iPad Air is equivalent to previous-generation iPad Pro models equipped with the M2 chip, specifically for standard dynamic range content.
In comparison, the latest iPad Pro models feature even brighter OLED displays, capable of reaching up to 1,000 nits for standard dynamic range content and a whopping 1,600 nits for high dynamic range content. Recent iPad Pro and iPad Air models have peak brightness levels ranging from 500 nits to 1,000 nits.
Tech enthusiasts were quick to notice the significant brightness upgrade on the 13-inch iPad Air, with Saran from the popular YouTube channel SaranByte pointing out the difference. Available for order now, the new iPad Air models are set to officially launch on May 15.
Some key features of the new iPad Air models include the powerful M2 chip, a relocated front camera to the landscape edge, support for Wi-Fi 6E, compatibility with the Apple Pencil Pro, and a range of new color options. Apple continues to push the boundaries of technology and design with its latest offerings, catering to the needs of consumers looking for high-performance and visually stunning devices.
