Microsoft has rolled out its latest Patch Tuesday updates for March 2024, addressing a total of 60 vulnerabilities. Among these, 18 are remote code execution flaws, with only two categorized as critical – Hyper-V remote code execution and denial of service vulnerabilities.
The vulnerabilities cover a range of categories, including 24 Elevation of Privilege Vulnerabilities, 3 Security Feature Bypass Vulnerabilities, 6 Information Disclosure Vulnerabilities, and more. Fortunately, there were no zero-day vulnerabilities discovered in this batch of updates.
Notable fixes in this release include patches for Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Defender, and Skype for Consumer. Other vendors have also released updates or advisories alongside Microsoft for the month of March 2024.
