Re-paving the Golden zone starts after Carnaval
The repaving of Camaron Sabalo will start on Wednesday, February 26th, from Valentino’s to the disused Hotel El Faro, confirms Enrique Gonzalez the external supervisor of the works.
He said that the bidding of the project was won by the same company that was in charge of the revamping of Del Mar Avenue, but the name of the construction company was not disclosed.
The work will cost $190 million pesos and will start with one lane from the el Faro Hotel. When finished, the avenue will have the same width but one lane will be a slow one with a maximum speed limit of 30 kmh. to give priority to bicycles.
The project will include the repaving of the road itself as well as a revamp of sidewalks and lighting.
Gonzalez also announced that the first section of Rafael Buelna Avenue is ready to be open from Valentino’s to Reforma.
” Today or tomorrow the first section will open in time for the Carnaval, and in 15 days the second section will re-open from the entrance of Lomas and the third section will be ready by Holy week”, said Gonzalez
