The Mazatlan Aquarium hold ‘19 Meeting of Children for the Conservation of Birds ’

From November 11 to 15, the Municipality will host one hundred children from the state’s communities to learn more about the life and conservation of bird species. It is known as the 19th.  ‘Childhood Encounter for Bird Conservation’.

One hundred sixth grade girls from the different communities of Guasave, Angostura, Elota, San Ignacio, El Rosario, Escuinapa and Mazatlan, will meet next Monday to begin this knowledge adventure together.

The main objective of the Mazatlan Aquarium is to promote the knowledge of the species in schoolchildren, so that they value the existence of each one of them, since they play a very important role in the ecosystem.

Some of the activities they will carry out include: talks, crafts, games, songs focused on birds, and to recreate what they have learned they will go bird watching in the mangroves of El Verde Camacho.

The event which is free to the participants, the City involves a large part of its staff from all areas, who contribute their knowledge.

The event is held with support from DIF Nacional and a group of volunteers from Aquarius Veracruz, the University Center of the Coast of Guadalajara, the Guadalajara Zoo and the Faculty of Marine Sciences.

Additionally, the Mazatlan Aquarium involves a large part of its staff who provide knowledge from their workplaces.
